Handicapping, Adjusting & Posting Scores

What is the maximum # of strokes I would post on a hole?Ever had a bad hole, like getting a 10 on a par 4? For score posting purposes only, the Maximum Hole Score will be a net double bogey. That is a gross double bogey, plus any handicap strokes (‘pops’)  the golfer is entitled to on that hole based upon the ranking of the stroke holes. For example, if you have a 25 handicap, the max hole score will be a gross quadruple bogey on the 7 hardest holes and a gross triple bogey for the remaining 11 holes. There is now a score posting feature for ‘hole-by-hole’ scoring. If you use this, the system will do the calculations for you. (Prior to 2020, there was a similar concept called ESC which is no longer used.)

How do I post scores?

How do I post my scores?There are several ways to post your scores:
  1. Download the free NCGA mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play
  2. Visit our website NCGA.org. There is blue button on the top right of the home page or go to Post-A-Score
  3. Browse directly to the online site GHIN.com
  4. Use the NCGA score posting kiosks in the golf course facility
